Quick Breakfast Ideas for Busy Moms

Who has time to cook most mornings? Or add to the dish pile before you’ve even finished your coffee!? Here’s a little insight into how I take care of myself (+ my hubby) in the morning. I think all of these options are great for kids as well!

It can be hard to eat healthy when you have little to no time, which is why I wanted to share my ideas as well as my morning habits/routine!

My Morning Routine

I start out with taking my TRIM, which is a liquid collagen supplement with weight loss benefits. (This link will get you $10 off if you want to add this to your routine!) I take my multi vitamins (Optipack) with a glass of water because it’s not good to drink coffee right away.  I know, it sucks. BUT I think it helps you feel better in the long run.

I eat a small breakfast snack so that my body can use all its power to digest – before coffee!

Quick Breakfast Ideas

Microwave Quick Oats

✧ Whole wheat toast w/ avocado and fried egg

✧ Yogurt, granola + fruit

✧ Hard boiled eggs + air fryer bacon or microwave sausage + avocado

✧ Whole wheat toast with Sunflower Butter (which has a no sugar added option), bananas and chia seeds to top!

✧ Fruit Smoothie – can make this with little to no ingredients – frozen or fresh fruit, milk/water, Greek yogurt

Boobie Shake – I make this protein shake with ice, milk, banana, peanut butter + yogurt to taste. Add chia seeds for added nutrition with little to no taste!

Last but certainly not least…

Overnight Oats

  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup milk of preference
  • ½ yogurt
  • Instructions: Combine all ingredients and refrigerate overnight. In the morning, add whatever makes you happiest! I usually add some honey, brown sugar, and chia seeds. But you could add fruit, nuts, nut butter, or even a few chocolate chips!

Easy Prep

I always try to take some time on Sundays to do some simple prep to help throughout the week. Whether it’s cutting up fruits and veggies for easy snacking, making a batch of these Gluten Free Banana Muffins (you can even stick these in the freezer!), or cooking up some meat to add to meals during the week, I find that every little thing helps.

*Tip: Put in ear buds and listen to a podcast or some music that inspires you! It’s a good time to take for yourself while still at home.
